"From eternity to eternity I am God.
No one can snatch anyone out of my hand.
No one can undo what I have done.
This is what the Lord says-your redeemer, the Holy One of Israel:
For your sakes I will send an army against Babylon,
forcing the Babylonians to flee in hose ships they are so proud of.
I am the Lord, your Holy One,
Israel's Creator and King.
I am the Lord, who opened a way through the waters, making a dry path through the sea.
I called forth the mighty army of Egypt
with all it chariots and horses.
I drew them beneath the waves and they drowned,
their lives snuffed out like a smoldering candlewick.
But forgot all that-
it is nothing compared to what I am going to do.
For I am about to do something new.
See I have already begun! Do you not see it?
I will make a pathway through the wilderness.
I ill create rivers in dry wasteland."
Isaiah 43:13-19
This last year I kept asking God: "Where were you when I was growing up". This is a common question that we often find ourselves asking when we have gone through pain. But just like the Lord did in this text for the Israelites, the Lord took me back to all of those places of pain and showed me where he was. He was always there. There where many times when he proved ways of escape or protected me when there was no way. The truth is, when hell had such a strong hold on me... He snatched me out from the grip of the enemy and said: "Not Her". No one can overcome the one who overcame the gave.
This is nothing compared to what He is going to do! He is always doing something new and His love is constantly being poured out. It is out of that place of complete brokenness that our destiny and calling is released. The fact that He rescued me is amazing yes. But what is even going to be even more amazing to me to watch is how God will use this life that was once shattered to accomplish the work of His Kingdom.
